My first Computer

The first computer I played on was a

Soundic TV sports console

Soundic TV sports console (photo above) I not intirely sure when I first played it at a guess early to mid eighties but this console came out in 1977. I have had to search for this on the internet as my mum said she threw this out (gutted!) And during the seventies a lot of similar consoles were available because of the popularity of pong.

After launched Pong in 1975, the world was flooded with imitations. There were quite a few different consoles across the continents, the designs varied widely. The first models had only four options, just like the first console from Atari: tennis, hockey, squash and practice, for the lonely players. Subsequent pong consoles had extra options and in many cases even a light gun.

In fact this was a colour version but I can only remember playing it in black and white, the reason why was because our second TV was black and white which was the norm in that decade. It was fun, I played this with my sister and had hours of fun. I would love to still have this so my son could be introduced to it before he moves onto the latest tech.
